Driver charged over pensioner fatal crash

A Berkshire man has been charged with causing the death by dangerous driving following of an elderly pedestrian.

Josie Daly, 80, died after being struck on the A355 Farnham Road in Slough, shortly before midnight on 30 January.

She was taken by air ambulance to Wexham Park Hospital where she later died.

Thames Valley Police said a 39-year-old man from the Slough area has been charged and bailed to appear before Maidenhead magistrates on 19 July.
