Woman who died after A35 New Forest crash named

A 38-year-old woman who died in hospital after being involved in a head-on crash on the A35 in Hampshire's New Forest, has been named by police.

Mandy Evans, from Southampton, was driving a Renault flat-bed van which collided with a VW Transporter near the Holmsley Tea Rooms junction on Sunday.

The van crossed over the centre line, colliding with the southbound VW. She died in hospital on Monday.

A man and two boys in the Renault and two adults in the VW were also hurt.

The road was closed for six hours while police investigated. They are still appealing for witnesses.
