Hurricane Alex threatens oil clean-up in Gulf of Mexico

Help

The first hurricane of the Atlantic season is posing a big threat to efforts to stop the massive leak of oil in the Gulf of Mexico.

Hurricane Alex has already led to the suspension of the British energy giant, BP's, clean-up effort.

The hurricane is packing powerful winds and generating waves up to 12ft high. The oil-skimming ships have been ordered to stay in port and residents are bracing for yet another setback.

Mike Wooldridge reports.
