Downpour of rain greets Queen in Nova Scotia, Canada


A heavy downpour greeted The Queen and Prince Philip as they disembarked from their plane in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Undaunted by the rain, Elizabeth II discharged her duties as normal with the aid of an umbrella which came down to her shoulders.

Their arrival marked the start of a nine-day tour of Canada.
