Debate over 'no foetal pain before 24 weeks'


Psychologist Dr Stuart Derbyshire and obstetrician and gynaecologist Professor Stuart Campbell debate the findings of a report that found no new evidence to show foetuses feel pain in the womb before 24 weeks.

The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists' review said foetuses at that stage were "undeveloped and sedated", but anti-abortion campaigners have challenged the reports.
