France strike over pension age reform

While Britain is looking at a pension at 66, in France there have been strikes over plans to raise the retirement age from 60, as it is now, to 62.

Hundreds of thousands of workers took to the streets across the country.

President Sarkozy's government has said the reforms are needed to stop the whole pensions system going bust.

Gavin Hewitt reports.
