Footvolley: Sunshine, sand and a sort of soccer


Legend has it that in 1965, soccer was banned on Rio de Janeiro's Copacabana beach, forcing footballers to take to the beach volleyball courts.

The players continued to shun their hands, and the game of footvolley was invented.

Mike Bushell joined the England teams training for next month's UK Open in Brighton - and discovered how the two root sports still cross over.
