A farewell service has been held for the leader of Jersey's Methodist Church, who is moving to the UK.

The Reverend David Coote has announced plans to leave the island, which he came to in 2004 as district chairman.

Mr Coote is due to be replaced by the Reverend Graeme Hall, from Georgetown Methodist Church.

The minister said he had enjoyed the challenge of the position and that Jersey was a beautiful place.
