BP boss denies that 'costs were put before safety'

BP chief executive Tony Hayward has told the US Congress that there was no suggestion that costs were put before safety during drilling for oil in the Gulf of Mexico.

Representative Phil Gingrey, of Georgia, accused Mr Hayward of "copping out' and "giving evasive testimony".
