India's Skype ban 'a step backwards'
Internet company Skype says a suggestion that India could block its services in the country is "a big step backwards".
India's security agencies have recommended a ban on international internet telephony, at least until a system to trace the calls can be put in place.
Skype says it is yet to hear whether the government will adopt the idea.
The BBC's Rob Young spoke to Dan Neary, vice-president at Skype.
