Thousands watch South Africa team at 'Fan Fests'
The widespread gloom across South Africa is in marked contrast to the cheerful optimism before South Africa's 3-0 defeat to Uruguay.
Despite the near-to-freezing temperatures in Johannesburg, thousands of Sowetans flocked to their local football stadium to watch Bafana Bafana.
The Fan Fests, in nine cities across the country, are intended to create an atmosphere equal to being at the game.
