Huge 80m hole opens in Chinese playground

A huge 80m hole has opened up in a school playground in Ningxiang county, southern China.

Chinese state television showed the hole in front of a school building, while other buildings around the site appeared to have become cracked and damaged.

The land started to give way in January when a much smaller hole opened up. Since then the hole has been expanding gradually as the land has kept sinking.
