Birthday Honours: Bonnie Greer on her OBE

Writer and broadcaster Bonnie Greer has spoken of her delight at being made an OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.

Ms Greer, who came to the UK from Chicago and has made her name as a writer and critic, is also a Trustee of the British Museum.

She says the award is "testament to the British spirit of generosity, of acceptance of foreigners, something I hope we never lose here".
