Woman 'delighted' as stolen husband's ashes returned
A planter of roses containing a man's ashes which was stolen from his widow's garden in Hull has been returned.
The pot of pink and red blooms was taken from the back garden of a house in the Newtondale area of the city last weekend.
Following a call from a member of the public it was found nearby on Thursday afternoon, Humberside Police said.
The 67-year-old widow was said to be "delighted" by its safe return.
PC Rich West, of Humberside Police, said: "I am very pleased that we have been able to return the planter to its rightful owner, she had been very upset about the theft."
