Family 'devastated' over Derrick Bird's death
Relatives of Cumbrian gunman Derrick Bird have said they are ''utterly devastated'' about his death.
In a statement read by the Reverend Jim Marshall, his sons, Graham and Jamie Bird, said they did not know why their father had committed the ''horrific'' crimes, and described him as ''the nicest man you could ever meet''.
They also sent their condolences to all the people involved in the tragedy.
Twelve people were shot dead by Derrick Bird and 11 were wounded.
