David Laws resigns from Treasury
Liberal Democrat MP David Laws has resigned from his position as Chief Treasury Secretary after admitting claiming expenses to pay rent to his partner.
Speaking inside the Treasury, he said he could not "escape the conclusion that what I have done was in some way wrong".
