Meet the British act singing for Cyprus at Eurovision

Help

This week Oslo hosts the 55th Eurovision Song Contest - and when the Cypriot entry takes to the stage for the second semi-final on Thursday, it may cause some confusion.

The rules say contestants can be from any country, so when Cyprus needed a song and performer, it looked to the UK for musical inspiration - and found Jon Lilygreen & The Islanders.

Here we meet Welsh lead singer Jon Lilygreen as he introduces the rest of the (mainly British) band and explains how they came to represent a different country in the competition.
