Foreign domination of sumo threatens sport

Sumo is now dominated by foreigners, a situation that has been blamed by some for a decline in audiences.

It's been suggested that the Japanese would rather watch Japanese wrestlers. Schemes to introduce sumo in schools have been put in place to try and encourage more home-grown participants.
