US warning to BP over handling of oil leak
BP's handling of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill has angered and frustrated the US government, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar has said.
He said the British oil company had missed "deadline after deadline" in its efforts to seal the leak, which began after a drilling platform exploded more than a month ago.
But he added that BP had agreed to pay clean-up costs beyond the current US $75m (£52m) liability limit.
Jane O'Brien reports from Washington.
