UAE's construction waste problem


Famous for constructing big buildings, the United Arab Emirates is now working on what happens what they come down again.

Previously, most of the waste from demolished buildings would go into landfill, as there is plenty of space in the region.

But a series of construction waste recycling facilities are opening, with the latest in Abu Dhabi joining others in Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah.
