Physical description Pygmy killer whales have a dark body with a darker cape. They have a round head with no beak, pale sides, white belly and a tall dorsal fin.
Distribution They inhabit the Atlantic and Pacific, in tropical and warm temperate waters.
Diet Pygmy killer whales feed on squid, fish and some marine mammals.
Behaviour Little is known about pygmy killer whales. They are found in groups of 15-25. They are difficult to spot, because they rarely appear above the ocean surface, and live in deep waters offshore.
