Atlantic hump-backed dolphin
Sousa teuszii

Like Indo-Pacific hump-backed dolphins, these dolphins have a fatty hump under their dorsal fin.

Life span
Unknown.

Statistics
Body length: 2-2.5m, Weight: 100-150kg.

Physical description
Atlantic hump-backed dolphins are slate grey with a cushion-like hump and long slender beak.

Distribution
They are found in waters off Mauritania and Angola.

Diet
Atlantic hump-backed dolphins feed on fish.

Behaviour
They occur in pairs or small family groups of 3-7.

Conservation status
Atlantic hump-backed dolphins are classified as Data Deficient by the 2000 Red List.
