All quiet on the Lakes & Rivers and Coasts fronts while plans are being set for the upcoming trips, but the office was kept busy sending crews out for Savannah, Mountains and an interesting Jungles recce.

Recces are a very useful way of finding out if a location is worth filming, particularly in West and Central Africa where communications are difficult at the best of times. Producer Andrew Murray discovered some very useful locations for his Jungles film this way. Read why he recommends Odzala in the DRCongo as a great place to visit

 There was little time to rest for Mountain's cameraman Martyn Colbeck. This month he was off to the Sanetti Plateau in Ethiopia's Bale Highlands to film wolves. Join them on location in this short video.

 Amanda Barrett on location in the Serengeti Amanda Barrett and Owen Newman chose one location for their film, the Serengeti. They wanted to get to the heart of what made the African Savannah tick. By spending time in one place you get to know it very well and sometimes discover very special things. Amanda came across this nesting colony of quelea on one of her daily sortees. Just listen to the noise !!
