The Programmes
The series is now over but you can read about the three programmes in which Charlotte took viewers on her travels around the world. Charlotte journeyed up mountains, into black caves and deep into the jungle. She bathed with Japanese macaques, met red colobus monkeys in Zanzibar that used charcoal to ease stomach upsets and witnessed gang warfare between female ring-tailed lemurs in Madagascar.

Series Producer Bernard Walton says:"No other species on Earth comes closer to us biologically than a chimpanzee - we share 98% of our genetic material with them. We are closer to a chimp than a gorilla is. Yet primates are extraordinary in their own right - they are the most athletic, intelligent and varied group of animals in the world."
