Links to the Key Stage 1 and 2 QCA Scheme of Work for Geography
The Blue Planet Challenge provides information that can enhance teaching and learning in the Key Stage 1 and 2 Geography Curriculum. The table below provides teachers with links to units within the QCA Scheme of Work for Geography in Key Stages 1 and 2.

Year Unit Children should learn:

  • Know how the island (Struay) is changing

  • Identify and sequence the components of the water cycle
  • Identify forms in which water occurs in the environment

  • To explore the idea of sustainable development and recognise its implications for people, places, environments and their own lives
