Cressbrook Dale is a beautiful limestone area of the Peak District renowned for its rare flowers. Many colourful wild flowers can be found in May when the grassy slopes become covered in carpets of Early Purple Orchids and other species of spring flowers including dog violets, cowslips and wood anemones. Cressbrook Dale's grasslands are amongst the best places to find orchids in Britain.
Car (inc. parking) Car parking at Upperdale in Monsal Dale, Monsal Head, Tideswell Dale, and Ravensdale.
Disabled Access    Access can be difficult as paths are unmade and uneven in places.
Toilets    No toilets on site, facilities at Monsal Head and Tideswell car park.
Food    Monsal Head has refreshments and picnic tables.
