Is Chernobyl's wildlife really thriving?


Twenty-five years ago, people fled the area surrounding the damaged Chernobyl nuclear power plant, never to return.

But wildlife still survives in this contaminated landscape.

BBC Nature reporter Victoria Gill joined a team of scientists on a five-day mission to the Chernobyl exclusion zone, to find out how the wildlife there has been affected by the contamination.
