What is a group personal pension?

A group personal pension is a collection of individual personal pension contracts. As a member, you have your own individual contract within the BBC Group Personal Pension Scheme (the 'GPPS') and if you change jobs or take a career break, you will be able to continue to contribute to your individual pension plan if you wish. The diagram below provides a quick overview of how the GPPS works.

Your monthly contributions BBC's contributions Any additional contribution from you
Your individual pension plan
May also grow in value if investments perform well
At retirement, use the money built up in your individual plan to buy benefits of your choice

The BBC has chosen Prudential to administer the GPPS and invest the contributions in investment funds of your choice.
