When writer Will Hodgkinson went in search of a real guitar man, he thought he found it down in Greenville Mississippi, in the character of T Model Ford. Formerly imprisoned for murder, T Model only took up the guitar sometime in his 50s, and has had a few records out on the Fat Possum label. Moonshine and women feature pretty heavily in T Model's world, and as he is at pains to point out, he has got remarkably smooth fingers.
