Mumford and Sons - Sigh No More

Mumford and Sons

Having cut their teeth playing live with Laura Marling and Noah and The Whale, Mumford and Sons have proved themselves a force to be reckoned with. Their debut album 'Sigh No More' coupled with their joyous live shows have made bluegrass cool with the kids again. Whether it has the same effect on the Mercurys judges is another matter.

I saw Mumford and Sons at Reading and they were by far the bast band I saw all weekend! Their music makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck and makes you want to get up and dance or sing from the soul!!!

lol. As usual the Mercury judges get it wrong again. This is becoming habit forming. The album of the year, in fact the debut album of the last 10 years probably is Sigh No More by Mumford and Sons. If they can keep writing good stuff and keep their feet on the ground they can have a long career. Which is more than you can say for some of the previous winners. Look at the album sales , look at the size of the audiences, look at the audience reaction. This group can be huge if they are managed well. Here's hoping.
