Manchester favourites I Am Kloot get a guernsey with their fifth album earning a Mercury nomination in 2010. Produced by Elbow frontman Guy Garvey (who took home the 2008 Mercury Prize), perhaps this could be the year for the much admired three piece.
Do you think this album deserves to win the Mercury Prize 2010?

Can't comment on the relative merits of all 12 albums having only listened to half of them. However if any band deserves to get the leg up that winning the Mercury should be (with a few past exceptions) then I am Kloot do. All of their previous albums have great moments but this one probably tops them all. Would love to see them win it. See them live and you'll really appreciate why.

I didn't come across this band until an acoustic set at glasto this year ont eh BBCs coverage where they played Northern Skies and found it refreshing and unique and quite frankly genuine.
