Piping within Edinburgh City Police, as the force was formerly known, began in 1882 with the band having the distinction of being the first police pipe band to win the coveted World Championship title at Dunoon in 1919.

Known as Lothian and Borders Police Pipe Band since 1975, which was also the year of their last World title under Pipe Major Iain McLeod, the band is now under the charge of Pipe Major Ian Duncan and Leading Drummer Jacob Jorgensen.

Playing, tempos and general musical expression are all excellent. Sound (blowing) is not so good, however. But that will improve. Lovely resonate drone sound. Definitely heading in the right direction!! Well done.
