After listening to Sheryl Crow's latest album, video directors will know exactly what to dig out of the props cupboard. The leathers and tough attitude are out the window; instead she'll be looking gorgeous in a floaty dress, just like the one she's wearing on the album cover.
More easy listening than rock, Wildflower sees a more settled Crow exploring love and the power of relationships. It's a pleasant enough album, but few tracks stand out. There's no "Run Baby Run" or "If It Makes You Happy", the closest we come to the old-school Crow is "Live It Up", which gives the album a much needed change of pace. Overall, it's more dinner party than dance floor. Excellent if you're entertaining and don't want the music to overpower the conversations. Not so great if you're looking to get the party started.
