Finn Peters' Finntet
Winner of the 1989 London Jazz Musician Award, flautist and alto saxophonist Finn Peters continues to flourish in his eclectic musical environment. He has recorded with producer IG Culture and Bugz in the Attic, co-founded contemporary classical group Noszferatu and in 1999 Finn formed the leftfield Hammond funk quintet Dr Seus to much acclaim. His latest CD Su-Ling is a summation of this journey as well as a return to his jazz roots. (Paul Pace)

Stan Tracey Octet
Stan Tracey has been a pioneering, modernist force in British jazz for a remarkable five decades. The new millennium has seen the legendary pianist, composer, arranger and band leader, now in his 80th year, deservedly hailed as The Godfather of British Jazz, with a BBC documentary of the same name and the seminal Jazz Britannia series both acknowledging his significant role. From 1964 to the present day, Stan has led a myriad of innovative groups, incorporating the most progressive musicians of each generation. (Helen Maleed)
