Best of Jazz Award
Winner - Liane Carroll
It could be said that Liane Caroll was first discovered by the late Ronnie Scott. Her performance at the club's 45th anniversary concert together with the acclaim which greeted her last album Billie No Mates has made this one of her most successful years.
Michael Garrick
Michael Garrick has been at the forefront of the UK jazz scene for 40 years. 2005 saw the release of two albums including music that was the result of his decade long association with the saxophonist Joe Harriott. Michael was also one of the central pillars of the highly successful Jazz Britannia series of concerts as seen on BBC Four.
