Line-up and Artists: Kasabian
Kasabian played on Saturday. Check our line-up & artists section to find out which stage and who else played.
Kasabian produced a microcosm of the whole Madchester scene in one debut album. All the key players were there; The Stone Roses, Happy Mondays etc. Add a healthy dose of Primal Scream and you'll have a good idea of what Kasabian sound like.
Kasabian grew up in Leicester and ended up writing most of the tracks for their debut album in a farmhouse which overlooked the man-made lake of Rutland Water.
A year ago the band opened up the Other Stage with an 11am start in front of a surprisingly large crowd. Far more are expected this time...

Matt, London
Shame they put Kasabian on just before Coldplay, might steal some of Kasabian's limelight if the crowds head off early for Coldplay.
Hopefully the timing is staggered to keep a huge crowd.
Fantastic Band, just can't wait!!
Roger, Dodgerville
Kasabian one of the best gigs this year. Loud and rocking! You can't keep still.
Anne, Brighton

Complete rubbish... Oasis ripoff, and the singer was the most annoying person I've ever heard on a mic.

Laura, Winchester
The best at Glastonbury for a looooooooooooong time. I went in '71, '81 and '85, so I know about this sort of thing.
Susanna — Suffolk
Kasabian is the best tribute band in the world.
Michael, London
Kasabian rocked Glastonbury. I think there were more people watching them than Razorlight since afterwards everyone did the "Cold play exodus". Did seem to want be Liam though since he seemed to swear at will and completely Randomly.
Titan, Leicester
Kasabian wouldn't know an original tune if it gave there stupud lead singer a hair cut.
Max, Nottingham
stole the show at glasto

I saw them on TV as Glasto, I dont think I can remember being so captivated by a live band, they blew me away.! TOTALLY. I think they could be one of the best bands ever. I bet if Oasis were watching they may be considering a career change..
Paul Humphries, Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire.
Enjoyed their music but the lead singer is a foul-mouthed yob who hasn't a clue about engaging an audience. He should check out the lead singers of Coldplay, Killers, Kaiser Chief's etc. to see how it's done!
Neil, Chester
One of the best acts at Glastonbury.
Alex Oxford
Kasabian. Processed Beats, Cut Off, LSF, simply rule!!!!!!!!
Netley, Berkshire
Kasabian might just be the band that start the revolution (not sure which one, but I'm damn sure they'll start some sort of one!). Fantastic show at Glasto this year, although I couldn't make it this year was singing along with the TV like a mad person and generally getting carried away! Here's a cute story for you - when Kasabian played at the Brighton Centre I went along with my 3 best friends in the world and had a great evening, getting thoroughly sweaty, smoky and hyped-up and dancing manically. At the end of the night I figured I'd just go home; but in the middle of the dispersing crowds, my mate tapped me on the shoulder and said "I'll take this opportunity to ask you out"! Cheesy I know, but so long-awaited (aww) and the end to a great evening!
Katy, Brighton
kasabian rocked glastonbury like . they have been nothing but joy. having there music blasted into my ears at any time makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck
adam lowe Sunderland
Rocked Bristol Academy on the Friday before their slot at Glasto. Wouldn't surprise me if Mr Evis asks them to headline in '07. Worth at least a 3rd of the entry fee alone.
Jim, Swindon
i've not really a fan of there's. i thought there album was massively overrated, i found it to be quite poor. but i gotta say they did themselves proud at glasto, very impressed.
sean, liverpool
oh they were so brilliant, they proved they can do anything!Every person slightly into real british music should see them and absolutely adore them!

I followed a tip-off on Saturday afteroon and saw Kasabian play a short acoustic set for a crowd of about 100. I was within touching distance... definitely one of Glastonbury's many memorable moments for me! Then saw their show on the Other Stage. What a fantastic band.
