Line-up and Artists: The Coral

The Coral played on Saturday. Check our line-up & artists section to find out which stage and who else played.

The Coral Liverpudlians The Coral are one of the most prolific bands in the country right now. Their fourth album is released June '05, less than three years after their debut came out to great acclaim. The band are influenced by such diverse acts as the Doors, early Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, The Shadows and Echo & the Bunnymen. They're also big fans of Ernest Hemingway, BMX bikes, Star Wars, & Bus shelters!

Lead singer James describes their recording process: "The way I think of making music is that it has no rules. If it sounds good, it is good". Their music is relentlessly witty and fresh if sometimes confusing.

The band last played Glasto in 2003 on the Other Stage.
