Line-up and Artists: Alabama 3
Alabama 3 played on Friday. Check our line-up & artists section to find out which stage and who else played.
Brixton's finest purveyors of the 'country and techno' sound, famed throughout the world for providing the theme to The Sopranos with "Woke Up This Morning". Led by Larry Love, a charismatic and handsome Welshman, few bands are more suited to the festival vibe.

Must admit, although i am a supporter of the BBC, the endless repeats of bands that have been given should have been reduced slightly and bands like the bams given at least one 10 minute slot.

that p*ll*ck Docherty but no Alabama3 it just don't add up
Dr Who London
Twice voted best live uk band, still no air time on TV, must be a beeb conspiricy.
George Parish Clerkenwell London.
Once again A3 are left off the multichannel technology that the beeb gave us on Friday night all screens played repeats of Costello, Fatboy. Doves, White Stripes, Docherty & Killers what a waste of technology!

When I was young the Beatles were top. Nowadays, I don't like much of the music around, but Alabama 3 are fantastic!

The Alabama's are no-good-no-good-at-being-do-good-no-good-do-gooders as all no-good-do-good folk know.......and that's why the establishment don't take kndly to them my friend......

I could not agree more with John from Glassgow. I went to see thenm at the Sheffiled Leadmill last month and it is one of the best live gigs i have been to in 25 years. There new album 'OUTLAW' is their best yet and deserves national air play on the BBC.

Have been a fan for years but will miss them at Glastonbury. If you're one of the lucky ones going DO NOT miss the chance to see this band live - and if you haven't bought the album yet, well, what're you waitin' for?

Why do the Alabama 3 never recieve nationwide airplay, they have a huge and growing fan base, all from word of mouth, so why will the establishment refuse to play them. The last time they were on national telly, Sopranos excluded, was the Jools Holland show about 4 years ago. Come on catch up with rest of us and tune into the loving acid house country techno beats cause we don't dance to techno anymore.
Rob, Stoke-on-Trent
Alabama 3 are good
