If you find yourself loosing touch take these precations- try to access your situation/enviroment- if you find you have fallen over. stand up- try to have a descent conversation (gibbering never helps)-make sure you are talking to a person and not a tree- avoid loos- if you hear the howl of authority all is lost. throw your arms in the air and run for the hills, there is a dragon who lays in a ditch in the king field, you can run operations from there

Arrange a specific meeting place at the same time say twice or three times a day and arrange times with your freinds when to turn on your mobiles eg three times per day at certain times so as not to drain all the power, texting uses less power.

There is no need to make more than vague attempts to stay in contact with friends and family who aren't camping with you. The chances are you will bump into them over the four/five days you are there. Do not take a mobile phone with you, remain uncontactable as you will be pulled in so many different directions anyway without waitng for acquaintances that dont turn up on time. So much to do, so little time in this temporary sprawling city.

When walking in a large group have a prearranged random word that signals regroup, for example DONUTS.

Walk around the site in the daytime before the music kicks off. make sure you know where your tent is too. When you do go out with your mates to watch the bands, let everyone in your group know where to go if you become lost.
This could be a particular shop or area or bar. Make sure everyone knows, so in case you go to the stages to watch a band and become lost from each other, you don't have to worry because you can simply meet up later at your designated meeting point.
Don't bother with mobiles unless you really need to. just let everyone know where you want to meet up at what time. it saves your credit and battery, something you may really need later on in the weekend.

Arrive together!! And have your own ticket on you from the moment you leave your house! Last year my friends were following in seperate cars, but the tickets were in the car in front. Security did not allow the second car into the car park until we walked 2 miles back to security to give our friends their tickets. Also, when you leave on the Monday, avoid the morning, chill out and leave late in the afternoon, you will only be stuck in the carparks!

Glastonbury is covered over 900 acres of fields and you can get lost, the best way I found to meet my friends when I got lost was to use a Mobile Phone or meet at the 'INFORMATION POINTS' scattered around the Festival. At the end of the day you'll always find your friends!

Use the big tree on its own in the field of the pyramid stage as a meeting place otherwise you will just lose people but hey - just meet someone else - you will always have a good time no matter!

If you get lost at Glastonbury, do not fear! One way to find your way back is to walk down hill until you come to the train tracks which split the Glastonbury site in half, more or less. The old train tracks were removed and now form one of the main path ways with plenty of signs to get you back on track.. no pun intended! :p

Mobile phone batteries die and there are long queues and waiting to recharge so bring your old phones and borroww anyone elses all fully charged. You then just change the sim card over when your dies. Depending on when you arrive two or three phones should see you through if you text whenever possible and only use the phone 6 times a day.
