Basement Borrowers

Anguish Sandwich is a DIY garage pop-punk trio from Northampton starring Chris East, Catherine Maskell and John Oldham. Drawing inspiration from the indie rock holy trinity of The Pixies, Nirvana and Pavement, as well as the bands and people they are proud to call friends, Anguish Sandwich was born in a basement with borrowed instruments and equipment and has quickly stretched out, taking in festivals and support slots up and down the country.

The band have been featured in Dazed + Confused magazine, blogged about positively and have their fun-filled debut EP named Bermuda Triangle coming out in the autumn. It's time to add BBC Introducing Stage Reading/Leeds to their list of achievements.
