Widely believed to be the best Glastonbury to date, 2003's Festival sold out in 24 hours, was held in balmy sunshine and was crime-free. The lineup included Radiohead, REM, The Damned, Damien Rice and Flaming Lips. Over £1million was donated to various local charities and Wateraid, Oxfam and Greenpeace were the main beneficiaries.

Best Glasto? I prefered the early 90's when I could sleep outside at night in my t-shirt, but good nontheless. The Darkness progs it up. The festival feels more controlled and less 'organic', travellers conspicously abscent. But at least no-one was stealing from my tent ;)

Great Glasto, good weather again, Flaming Lips were amazing, so glad that they are a headliner this year on the other stage. Radiohead and REM were great as well.

I can remember a glorious Saturday with a sequence of Interpol, Suede, Flaming Lips and Radiohead. Whilst Radiohead were on a few mates went off to see Primal Scream (Vanishing Point era), but we both saw a weird object in the air, too far and static to be a plane. It vanished just as the sun went down. Very odd.

Tim Clarke - when Radiohead and Primal Scream (Vanishing Point era) played at the same time it was 1997! Stay off the drugs! Anyway 2003 was the best Glastonbury I've ever experienced. Death in Vegas on the Friday night pure blissed out euphoria. Saturday night Flaming Lips followed by Radiohead. Sunday night Doves on the other stage were the probably even better!

I agree fully, i got to see love (RIP Arthur Lee), doves, SFA, Kings of Leon, Sigur Ross, Jimmy cliff, nightmares on wax and many more. What a weekend it was, full of the bright beautiful sun, plus nothing stolen from my tent. Some i know had belongings stolen i'm afraid there is always someone who has to spoil it for others. tim sorry to put your fire out, those weird objects happened to be lanterns of the asian kind, and primal scream did not play otherwise i'd haqve been there. 2 days to go to 2010 whoo hoo, can't wait. Those who suffer with kleptomania keep your hands in your tents!!!!!.
