BBC - The High Wire - BBC Glastonbury Festival - 2011
07:00 – 10:00 // In the studio next is Lauren Laverne
Wed 22nd June – Sun 26th June 2011
Worthy Farm, Pilton
The High Wire’s unique brand of dreamy “ecstasy pop” is a blend of acoustic-based melodies infused within a mix of heavy distortion, driving guitars and deliriously chanted vocal harmonies. Named after the Richard and Linda Thompson song Walking on a Wire and counting bands such as The Byrds, Pink Floyd and Teenage Fanclub as early influences, The High Wire were definitley worth a watch.
