Biography
Arcade Fire is a Grammy nominated indie rock band formed in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Though rooted in indie rock, their music is often ornately arranged, and features instruments that are uncommon in rock and roll such as the organ and accordion, thus placing them more specifically in a Baroque Indie category.
Arcade Fire was founded in 2003 by the husband and wife team Win Butler and Régine Chassagne. Other members include Richard Reed Parry, William Butler, Tim Kingsbury, Sarah Neufeld and Jeremy Gara.
Howard Bilerman, who played drums on their debut album, Funeral, has since moved on to other projects. On the 'Funeral' shows the touring band included horn player Pietro Amato and violinist Owen Pallett. Neufeld, Parry, and Amato also play in the instrumental band Bell Orchestre...
