Tempo Control |
This control lets you set the speed of your piece. To set the tempo, or speed of your piece, either type a number into the tempo box or use the arrow keys to increase or decrease the number.
The number in the box sets the number of beats or steps that will play in one minute - this means that a tempo of 60 will play sixty beats a minute or one every second (You can test this by looking at a watch or a clock with a second hand and timing the beats as your piece plays). The maximum allowed tempo is 200.
The counter on top of the tempo counts the number of beats in your piece as it plays. This is useful for figuring out when you want trapdoors to open, or for counting the total number of beats in your piece.
Drumsteps will play your piece for up to 600 beats if it lasts that long, but it doesn't play any more than 600 beats.
