Mary Hopkin (born 3 May 1950, Pontardawe, Wales) is a Welsh folk singer. She is best known as one of the first musicians to sign to The Beatles' Apple label and for her 1968 single "Those Were The Days", a Top 10 hit single in both the UK and the U.S.
