Shavarsh "Shavo" Odadjian (born April 22, 1974) is an Armenian-American songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and director. He is best known as the bassist and occasional songwriter of the Grammy Award-winning rock band, System of a Down. The band has been on hiatus since 2006, and Odadjian has since been working on a project called Achozen with RZA.
