Biography

Michael Sean Davenport Michael Davenport was born in 1968 in Orcutt, California, sometimes credited as Mike Davenport. .

He was the bass guitarist of the Pop punk group The Ataris and joined the band prior to the album Blue Skies, Broken Hearts...Next 12 Exits.

After numerous recordings, tours, and a major label release with The Ataris, Davenport left the band after the Ataris headed in a different had musical direction.

He formed the band Versus the World. Versus the World had a self titled LP on Ku Fu Records which met with great success in Europe as well as appearances in the US on ‘A taste of Christmas’ VA and WWF RAW versus smack down the video game. After three years Davenport is back after a hiatus from music. He now plays bass and sings vocals in CAVEMUMMY based in Santa Barbara, CA with Marco Pena (also from the Ataris) on guitar and lead vocals. He currently lives in Santa Barbara, CA with his wife.
