BBC Proms

By any measurement, Quincy Jones is a remarkable musician. A gifted jazz trumpeter and musical arranger, he's been a big band leader, a soul and funk pioneer, the producer of an avalanche of music's greatest talents, from Lesley Gore to Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles to Will Smith (as The Fresh Prince of Bel Air).

To celebrate his manifold achievements across the musical spectrum, the BBC has awarded him his own Prom, starring Jules Buckley and his Metropole Orkest, with a visit to the stage from the great man himself.

As a further tribute, here's a quiz devoted to just one of his projects, Michael Jackson's Thriller, the record he made over a few short months in 1982 with a crack team of his favourite musicians, songwriters and arrangers, which then went on to become the biggest-selling album in the world:
