WAP (Wireless Application Protocol)

This is the technology that enables mobile phones to browse the Internet.

WiFi

Wireless Fidelity, also know as Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and 802.11b. Wi-Fi provides short-range, high-speed connections between mobile devices (mobiles, PDAs, laptops) and nearby hardware such as Wi-Fi access points which are connected to the wired network.

Wireless

A connection between two or more devices which does not require them to be linked physically by a cable. Examples of wireless connections are infrared, Bluetooth, and WiFi.
