Base Station

Base stations receive and transmit signals from mobile phones. They link mobiles to the rest of the mobile and land-line network.

Bluejacking

Bluejacking is when somebody with a mobile phone user uses Bluetooth to identify another person's mobile in the vicinity and then sends them an anonymous message. It is called bluejacking as the mobile is being temporarily hijacked via Bluetooth technology..

Bluetooth

Bluetooth is the name given to a type of wireless connection that allows different types of devices to swap data within a radius of around 10 metres.

The name Bluetooth comes from the story of Harald Bluetooth, a Viking ruler who united and controlled Denmark and Norway and was famed for his bridge building.

Browser

An application that allows you to view web pages. Mobile phones use browsers, just like computers do, to surf the web.
